We all have them… The things that make our skin crawl, make our eyes twitch, light us up with no hesitation. And here are just a few of mine!
- Chewing loudly/with your mouth open:
I cannot stress enough how much this irritates me. Mouth noises in general really tick me off. There is something about the way the lips smack, or the saliva sloshes around that just really gets me in a negative head space. Even when someone just has little ticks that they do with their mouths, it’s just not something I can stand. - Someone who is constantly late/cancels:
I used to be referred to as a “time-nazi” because if someone told me they were going to be somewhere at 11:45am, by 11:55am if I have not received a call with an explanation, I got mad. It was always really important to me to be on time and to keep my plans. I have gotten a lot better at this, but still working at it. - Forks scraping on a plate:
This is something that actually physically will effect me. If I even think too hard about this, my entire bottom jaw tingles and I salivate like I am going to throw up. I highly dislike the sounds of a fork scraping on a plate. I will actually leave the room if this happens mostly. - A ball pen out of ink going accross paper:
This is another vomit-worthy thing. When you go to use a ball point pen and its out of ink and you go to use it and you get that scraping feeling across the paper. There is something about that where I cannot stand it. I get a small panic attack every time I use pens sitting in a pen holder. Weird? Expadentially, but its my weird thing. - This one is silly.
I hate when people use the ends of the bread loaf before the loaf is done:
Dont people realize that keeps the loaf fresh? Plus, wouldn’t it be easier to use something that is a similar piece of bread to the other? When you use it with a normal piece of bread, you are usuing non-symmetric pieces of bread. Just me? Or does this bother others?
What are some of your pet peeves? Let me know. Stay tuned for tomorrows blog!
