What is your biggest struggle with loving yourself?

What is your biggest struggle with loving yourself?

Starting out with a hard-hitter… I think we are always our own worst critic, but loving ourself is one of the hardest pills to swallow. We all think we know what that means to love ourselves and we all have that ideal self that we want to love. However, what does loving yourself really mean? It means loving yourself on your bad days, on the good days, through all of your quirks and ticks.

The biggest struggle for me with loving myself is that I tend to see my PTSD and my past to be something that is “too much” for most people. I feel that everyone will always love me as a friend since I am a great friend but that no one will ever be able to love me through it. In reality, that isn’t true.

I have days where it is hard to believe in myself. I am a very strong, loyal, sweet, caring, individual so there is no reason I am not worthy of love. It is all about what we convince ourselves of. So giving myself the positive self talk I need, and surrounding myself with happiness, is the way to go. I make sure to listen to music, dance, draw, and hang out with friends who pump up my positive vibes.

Self esteem is a constant battle for some, but it isnt impossible. What do you do to love yourself?

Simply,
Miss Shay
