I love to bake! It wasn’t always like that. I was a tomboy growing up and I thought that baking was something only girly girls, grandmas and stay at home moms did. I definitely do not feel that way anymore.
Now, when I bake, it takes me to a different place. Taking any emotion I am feeling and putting it into a project is always beneficial, but baking also has an amazing outcome for others. Focusing myself on the ingredients and art of making it, but after it is complete, others get to enjoy it and they are happy.
I picked up baking about two months ago. I have only done cupcakes, but I have been really astonished at how much I love it and how good I actually am at it. To the point that I have begun this blog and business around them. It is the inspiration.
The photos on this post are the dark chocolate raspberry cupcakes I made with milk chocolate toppers. All made from scratch. I will later do a post with a recipe. These cupcakes meant a lot to me though. They came out so beautiful. The cake part was perfectly cooked and chocolatey! The raspberry frosting I created from a raspberry reduction. Cooled to be sure it was like a chocolate treat! So refreshing once you bit into it. Light and delightful!
